These Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) govern all bookings, participation, and use of escape-room services provided by EscapeVenture GmbH (“EscapeVenture”, “we”, “us”). By booking or participating in any EscapeVenture experience, you agree to be bound by these GTC.

Our experiences are suitable for individuals aged 8 to 99. Minimum participation age: 6 years (see Section 5 for details). EscapeVenture reserves the right to deny entry at its sole discretion.

1. Contracting Party and Scope

These GTC apply to all bookings, purchases, and participation across all EscapeVenture locations. By completing a booking, the group leader accepts the GTC on behalf of all participants.

2. Booking and Payment

• Bookings must be made through www.escapeventure.com.
• The group leader confirms that all listed participants agreed to the booking.
• Participants under 16 require written parental/guardian consent.
• The group leader must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for payment.
• Bookings become binding only after email confirmation by EscapeVenture.
• Prices listed under “Book Now” apply. Prices are per person and in EUR.
• No cash payments are accepted at any EscapeVenture location.
• Payments are processed through QuinBook (Woizzer AG, Hamburg) using Stripe or PayPal.

3. Cancellations by the Customer

• Cancellations are free of charge up to 72 hours before the scheduled start time.
• Cancellations must be submitted via email.
• Prepayments are refunded minus third-party payment processor fees.

4. Changes and Cancellations by EscapeVenture

EscapeVenture may adjust minor program details that do not materially affect the experience. In exceptional circumstances, we may cancel an event; customers will be informed immediately and offered an equivalent alternative.

Entry may be refused if participants:

• are under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
• behave disruptively, aggressively, or dangerously,
• intentionally damage property.

5. Number of Participants and Age Requirements

Maximum group size: up to 7 people per room; up to 21 when booking three rooms.

Minimum ages with adult supervision:

• Artefacts: from 6 years
• Doc Eisenbarth & VR Games: from 12 years
• Carrie: from 14 years

Minimum ages without adult supervision:

• Artefacts: from 12 years
• Doc Eisenbarth: from 14 years
• Carrie: from 16 years

EscapeVenture is not recommended for individuals with claustrophobia, panic disorders, sensitivity to darkness, or similar conditions.

6. Liability and Safety

• Participation is at your own risk.
• EscapeVenture is liable only for damages caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or in cases of injury to life, body, or health.
• Participants must follow all instructions given by game masters.
• Photography and filming inside the premises are prohibited.

7. Video Monitoring and Photos

• Game rooms are monitored in real time via video cameras for safety and supervision.
• No audio is recorded.
• Recordings are not stored unless required due to an incident or legal obligation.
• Photos taken by EscapeVenture are only published with explicit written consent.

8. Arrival and Delays

Each booking reserves a specific time slot prepared exclusively for your group. You must arrive on time. In case of late arrival, the right to receive the booked service expires without refund.

9. Force Majeure

EscapeVenture is not liable for cancellations or changes caused by events of force majeure, including war, terrorism, epidemics, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control.

10. Right of Withdrawal (No Withdrawal)

In accordance with Art. 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive and § 312g(2) No. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB), there is no right of withdrawal for leisure services with fixed dates or time slots. All EscapeVenture bookings are legally binding once confirmed.

11. Amendments to These Terms

EscapeVenture may amend these GTC at any time. The version valid at the time of booking applies.

12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These GTC are governed exclusively by German law.

For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply. For business customers, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Angern, Germany.
