Here you will find the most important answers about group size, prices, payment methods, reservations, cancellations and spontaneous bookings.
How many people can play in an escape room?
The ideal group size is 2-6 players per room, depending on the mission. Some rooms allow up to 7 or 8 players. For larger groups, we recommend booking several rooms in parallel - this also works well as a team duel.
Which escape rooms are available and how difficult are they?
The missions range from adventure and science to psycho thrillers. Artefacts is well suited for beginners, Doc Eisenbarth is atmospheric and moderate, Carrie is more intense and darker. Depending on the location, additional missions such as HackAttack, Starwreck or SUB:JECT may be available.
How much does an EscapeVenture game cost?
The price depends on the location, mission and group size. You will see the exact total price directly in the booking calendar for your selected date.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Yes. Rescheduling or cancellation is usually free up to 72 hours before the booking. After that, a fee may apply. Please email us with your booking number, location, original date and requested change.
What happens if we arrive late?
Please contact us by email as soon as possible if you are running late. Since time slots are fixed, a significant delay may shorten your game time or require the booking to be moved.
Can I change the number of players later?
Yes, as long as the mission's maximum player count is not exceeded. If fewer people attend and too much has already been paid, we will clarify the adjustment on site.
Which payment methods are available?
Depending on the booking, PayPal, credit card or bank transfer may be available online. Card payments are usually possible on site. The available payment methods are shown during the booking process.
How do I reserve an escape room game?
Choose location, mission, date and time in the booking calendar. After booking, you will receive a confirmation by email. Go to bookingsübersicht
Can the escape rooms be played in English?
Many missions can be played in German and English. If you need an English briefing, please mention it directly when booking or by email.
How do I get an invoice?
For online payments, the invoice is usually sent automatically by email. For company bookings, please send us the invoice details so we can assign them correctly.
Can we come by spontaneously?
Spontaneous bookings are possible if slots are available. Online booking is safer because you can immediately see which missions and times are still free.
How early should we book?
For weekends, holidays, bachelor parties, birthdays and company events, we recommend booking as early as possible. During the week, short-notice dates are more often available.
Can we book several rooms in parallel?
Yes. For larger groups, companies, school classes or bachelor parties, we recommend booking several rooms in parallel. This way everyone starts at roughly the same time and you can compare results afterwards.
Are there VR offers?
Depending on the location, EscapeVenture offers real escape rooms and other experience formats. Check the relevant location page or ask by email if you are looking for a specific format.
How do I book a VR game?
VR games can be booked via the online calendar just like our escape rooms. Select the desired category, location, date, time and group size. The calendar immediately shows which dates are available.
In which cities is EscapeVenture available?
EscapeVenture is available in Hamburg, Braunschweig, Leipzig and Magdeburg. Available rooms, group sizes and themes may differ by location.
How do I book the right location?
Check the city and address of the selected mission in the booking calendar. The location page and your booking confirmation also show where you will play.
What are online escape games?
Online escape games are digital puzzle adventures that can be played from anywhere. They are suitable for groups, teams or friends who cannot be at one location together.
Before the game
Arrive, prepare, start.
These questions help with arrival, age, what to bring, consent forms and special situations before the game starts.
When should we be on site?
Please arrive at the location 5-10 minutes before the game starts. This leaves enough time for greeting, briefing and a relaxed start.
Are there age restrictions?
Yes. The minimum age depends on the mission. Many adventures are suitable from around age 12, while more intense or darker rooms are usually recommended from 14 or 16. Details are listed on each mission page.
What should I know or bring before the game?
You do not need special equipment. Comfortable clothing is enough. Curiosity, teamwork and punctual arrival matter most. Bags, jackets and personal items can be stored on site.
Do minors need a consent form?
If minors play without a legal guardian present, we need a signed consent form from a legal guardian. The completed and signed form must be brought to the game.
Can pregnant women participate?
Our missions do not require athletic actions such as running or climbing. Participation is still at your own responsibility. If in doubt, please speak to your doctor beforehand.
Can children play on their own?
This depends on age, mission and location. For younger groups, we recommend adult supervision or a quick email check with us beforehand.
Can intoxicated people play?
Heavily intoxicated or visibly impaired people may be excluded from the game for safety reasons. The on-site team decides whether participation is possible.
During the game

Once the countdown starts, the game master accompanies your game. Here are the key answers about safety, hints and duration.
What are the game rules?
Before the game starts, the game master explains all rules: how to handle props, safety instructions and behavior in the room. Please follow these instructions so the experience stays exciting, fair and safe.
Are the escape rooms safe and accessible?
Player safety is our top priority. The doors are not locked, so you can leave the room at any time. However, our rooms are not barrier-free, as structural conditions may include steps, narrow passages and other obstacles.
Is monitoring in place?
Yes. The game master follows the game via cameras or technical systems so they can give hints and react in an emergency. Monitoring is used for safety and game support.
Are the missions dangerous?
Our missions are not dangerous and do not require physical effort such as running or climbing. As long as you follow the rules, an escape room is no riskier than visiting a restaurant.
Of course, you can trip or bump into something anywhere, so participation is at your own responsibility. EscapeVenture is not suitable for people with severe claustrophobia, panic attacks or strong discomfort in narrow or dark rooms.
Are there jump scares?
Our missions focus on atmosphere, story and tension. Classic jump scares are not the main focus. Some rooms can be darker or more intense, especially psycho and thriller missions.
Do you need special knowledge or physical strength?
No. You need neither prior knowledge nor strength. Team spirit, logic, communication, attention and a willingness to think creatively together are more important.
How long does a visit take?
Gameplay is usually 60 minutes. Including arrival, briefing and wrap-up photo, you should plan around 75-90 minutes in total.
After the game
Wrap-up, photos, feedback.
After the mission, there is time for a short wrap-up, group photo and feedback without spoiling puzzles for other teams.
How long does a game last?
The actual gameplay lasts a maximum of 60 minutes. If you solve all puzzles earlier, the mission ends accordingly.
What happens if we do not complete the game?
Then the game ends when time runs out. The experience is still not lost: tension, puzzles and teamwork are what matter. On request, the game master can explain remaining puzzles afterwards.
How can I share my experience or give feedback?
You are welcome to share your experience on social media. Please avoid spoiling specific puzzles or solutions so other teams can enjoy the same fun.

Can I take photos or videos?

Is EscapeVenture suitable for events and company events?
Yes. EscapeVenture is suitable for team events, company parties, birthdays, bachelor parties and private groups. Depending on group size, we split you into teams that play several rooms in parallel.
On request, we can organize reception, greeting, parallel games, moderated evaluation or award ceremony and catering in cooperation with partners.
Can additional people join and are these real rooms?
In many cases, you can add more people as long as the maximum player count of the room is not exceeded. The adjustment is made on site.
The games Artefacts, Doc Eisenbarth, Carrie, HackAttack and Starwreck are real furnished escape rooms - not VR or purely virtual experiences.
Are vouchers available?
Yes. Vouchers can be purchased online and redeemed later for a suitable date. View voucher
How do I redeem a voucher?
Choose your date in the booking calendar and enter the voucher code in the designated field. The voucher value will then be applied to the booking.
How long is a voucher valid?
The validity is stated on the voucher or in the order confirmation. If you are unsure, email us the voucher code and we will check it.
Are discounts or special conditions available?
For school classes, clubs, educational institutions, companies or very large groups, we are happy to prepare an individual offer. Please send us the location, number of people and preferred date.
Are there jobs at EscapeVenture?

What about directions, parking and public transport?
All locations are easy to reach. Detailed information about directions, parking and public transport can be found on the relevant location page and in your booking confirmation.
Are there parking spaces directly on site?
This differs by location. On the location pages you will find specific information about parking, public transport and walking routes. Always plan a little extra time when arriving by car.
Are the rooms heated and are pets allowed?
The rooms are heated. Air conditioning is not available at every location. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed inside the rooms.

How do I move a booking?
